Byeways (Shorebirds)

I'm just waiting for the noise to stop. I'm just waiting for the bombs to drop. I'm just trying to keep the fear at bay. I'm just trying to feel okay today. And you can't sleep again. The sky explodes outside your window and you can't see the sun behind the clouds. Can everything please be alright tonight? Where do we go? Where do we run, hide or fight? When the city's exploding, triumph and failure crash and burn as we struggle to get home.
